Hallmarks & Certificates Explained
How we prove the purity of our metals and the quality of our diamonds and gemstones.
Metal purity
- Gold (9K, 14K, 18K, 22K): BIS hallmark with purity grade and a unique HUID code.
- Gold (12K): independent assay laboratory certificate.
- Silver: “925” sterling stamp.
Diamonds and gemstones
Certified diamonds and gemstones come with a report from IGI or GIA. The report number is shown on the product page and can be verified on the laboratory’s website.
Every product page also states whether a piece is set with natural diamonds or moissanite, and lists any gemstone treatment, such as heating, which is common and permanent in natural sapphires and rubies.
DM Gems authenticity card
Every order includes our own certificate of authenticity listing the metal, purity, weight, stones and your order number — useful for insurance and resale.
